Description: Featured speaker will give break down of the complex system of the veterans benefit known as Aid and Attendance including: use of the Aid and Attendance benefits in the community for home care, adult day programs, assisted living, nursing homes and more; qualifications including income and resource limits, explanation of what income and resources are counted and what is exempt; application process and documentation; case examples; appeals process. Panel will help identify myths and pitfalls they have seen applicants face, including case examples. Attendees will have the opportunity to raise questions and discuss related experiences. Handouts will be available.
