Name: Network's 11th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Aging Issues

Description: The Network invites you to attend their 11th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Aging-Related Issues on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Cheektowaga Center for Senior Services, 3349 Broadway in Cheektowaga, New York. Registration for this FREE event will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the program will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. Invited to preside over the Town Hall Meeting on Aging-Related Issues are: Jeffrey Dinowitz, Chairman of the N YS Assembly Committee on Aging; Ruben Diaz, Chairman of the NYS Senate Committee on Aging; Michael Ranzenhofer, Minority Leader of the NYS Senate Committee on Aging and Michael Burgess, Director of the NYS Office for the Aging The Town Hall Meeting provides advocates from the aging-services network with an opportunity to share their views about various matters that pertain to older adults in Western New York. Participants are invited to attend the meeting and provide testimony on any public policy, budgetary, programmatic, or regulatory concerns they may have. Advocates are also encouraged to discuss how the proposed 2010-2011 New York State budget impacts on their organizations and the people served by their respective programs. Include any recommendations that you wish to be considered by legislators and public policy officials. If you plan to attend the Town Hall Meeting, please complete the registration form on page five and return it to the Network in Aging of WNY, University at Buffalo, 515 Kimball Tower, 3435 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214. If you plan to speak at the meeting, please indicate so on the form and limit your testimony to no more than four minutes. We encourage you to have three written copies of your testimony available at the Town Hall Meeting to provide to the Albany representatives. Anyone planning to speak at the hearing will be called up in the order they register unless there are special circumstances.
